A federal judge Tuesday overturned President Carter’s 10-cent-a-gallon gasoline fee that was to have shown up at gasoline pumps Thursday. Carter’s fee would be imposed on all gasoline, whether it was refined from domestic or imported oil, while the law only gives the’president the power to regulate imported gasoline and crude oil, U. S. District Judge Aubrey E. Robinson, Jr. said. The govern ment will appeal. President Carter and Ronald Reagon captured the Maryland and Nebraska primaries Tues day. Sen. Ernest F. The article is written by Sam Continued On Back R^ Junior Marshals At Tryon High Serving as Junior Marshals during the commencement activities at Tryon High School will be the Chief Marshal Miss Carole Wilson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe L. Wilson of Tryon. Assisting the Chief Marshal will be Lee Corbett, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Corbett of Tryon; Juergen Panoscha, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gunther Panoscha of Tryon, Miss Martha Brady, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Carroll Brady of Tryon; Miss Eileen Teal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Teal of Tryon; and Miss Melanie Butler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R Dean Butler of Tryon. Gets Law Degree Phillip Ray Feagan, son of Mr and mrs Charlie Feagan of Columbus, received his law degree May 12th at Campbell College at Buies Creek. Attending the graduation were his wife, Joan, her mother, Mrs. Sidney Smith and his parents. A New Arrival Mr. and Mrs Robert Heydman of Rutherfordton are parents of a son Johnny Robert, born May 11, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Paternal grandparents are Mr and Mrs. Phillip Heydman of Rutherford and the maternal grandmother is Mrs. Paul Smith of Tennessee. Homecoming Sunday Homecoming will be observed at Tryon Pentecostal Holiness Church Sunday, May 18. Sunday School will begin at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Carl Sexton, a former pastor will bring the morning message at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be served at Harmon Field at 12:30. Singing will be held in the church at 2:00 o'clock.
